Every year I choose a word or phrase of the year. I place it in prominent places around my studio so it’s always front and center. When I feel stuck I close my eyes and whisper it to myself and let it guide me in the direction I should go.
And sometimes, when I feel no longer connected to it, I know I have to let it go. Like last year. My word for 2020 was “purposeful “. Be purposeful. Let every action be one of intention & meaning. And around the middle of 2020, I knew I had lost the meaning and purpose of why I started this business in the first place. 2020 was a year where I felt stuck a lot of the time. So...I let it go and I took a break. Which was just what I needed.
This year I am back and feeling better than ever. I have a renewed vigor and excitement about the coming year and my business and what I have planned. I have been researching new products I want to create and have been working to improve some old ones. And I can’t wait to begin.
This brings me to my word of the year for 2021. When I was thinking about what word or phrase I would choose there was really no other choice. It was the only word that fits.
